Coyote Moon Vineyards Celebrates Farmers Market Fiesta Day!

By Valerie Hickman

Coyote Moon Vineyards on East Line Road kicked off the summer season with one of their famous howlin’ good times at the annual Farmers Market Fiesta Day on Saturday May 5th, 2012.  Nearly 2,000 revelers arrived at Coyote Moon Vineyards for a sun and fun-filled day with award-winning wine, live music, craft vendors, hayrides, food vendors, and wine slushies.

The day began with the perfect combination of award-winning wine, sun, and music.  The tasting room was overflowing with guests sampling Coyote Moon Vineyards’ flawless award-winning wines and participating in the jubilation!  The Randazzo Family, owners of Coyote Moon Vineyards, gave guests personal tours of the Vineyard and shared their family stories with all who attended.

Outside, Coyote Moon Vineyards offered another opportunity to sample their award-winning wines.  Guests flocked to the Coyote Moon Tent to not only taste the wine, but also to indulge in Coyote Moon’s ever popular wine slushies.  This summer, Coyote Moon expanded their slushie repertoire by adding a new wine-a-rita slushie to their usual delicious offerings.

As guests tempted and treated their palates, their ears were also treated with the rocking melodies of the Waydown Wailers and the Bad Husbands Club.  The bands jammed all day providing plenty of entertainment for children and adults alike.  At one point, a special birthday girl was serenaded on stage as part of a surprise her husband had orchestrated.  She was presented with a case of her favorite wine on his behalf.

As the music played, guests strolled through the farmers market enjoying various wares while sipping their libations.  The vendors ranged from jewelry to clothing to woodcarvings; there was something special for everyone.  Johnny D’s scrumptious salt potatoes and steak and cheese sandwiches, LaMont’s Food Fair’s delectable mushroom swiss burgers, and Pickle Barrel’s lip-smacking pulled-pork sandwiches satisfied all appetites.

Those who wished to ride instead of stroll through the Vineyards had the pleasure of taking guided hayrides.  It was fun for the entire family.  The day was a joyful success as the award-winning wine was flowing, bellies were filled, spirits were high, and everyone had a howlin’ good time.
